A new American study revealed that the sleep patterns disorder in patients with heart failure may double the risk of suffering serious health setbacks during a period not exceeding 6 months, even after taking into account other sleep disturbances and accompanying health conditions.

The research team from Oregon State University explained that improving the regularity of sleep times may be a simple and effective way to enhance the opportunities for recovery and survival, calling on patients to take care of going to sleep and waking up at constant times daily.

According to the “Science Daily” website, the researchers found that irregular sleep increases the possibility of complications such as the need to enter the hospital, visit the emergency department, or even death.

The main researcher Brock Chevir explained that the commitment of a fixed protein for sleep and waking up is not limited to improving public health, but may have a very important impact on people with heart failure.

After following 32 patients with heart failure in a university hospital, the team concluded that regular sleep can be a low -cost treatment approach that reduces complications.

Chevir added that the contrast in times of sleep may confuse the mechanisms responsible for organizing the cardiovascular system, which exacerbates the health risks in this group of patients.
