The draw for the 37th edition of the Arab Men’s Basketball Clubs Championship, which withdrawn today, put the “title holder” and the Qatari Rayan in the third and fourth groups, respectively.
The tournament will be held in the UAE city of Dubai at the Al -Nasr Club hall during the period from September 25 to October 6, with the participation of 16 teams of the most prominent Arab clubs.
The lottery resulted in balanced groups, as the third group included the Qatari Arab Club, “the title holder”, along with Kazma Al -Kuwaiti, the Omani Sib, and the Yemeni port, while the fourth group included: the Qatari Rayyan, the Lebanese wisdom, the Syrian unity, and the Omani good news.
While the first group included the Emirati victory, the Homs of the Syrian redemption, the Yemeni people of Hadramout, the Kuwaiti Qadisiyah, and the second group, the Lebanese Anthony, the people of Tripoli, the Libyan, the Bahraini Manama, and the Kuwaiti Kuwait.
The current version of the tournament witnessed an amendment to the list of foreign players, as each team will allow the registration of three professional players instead of the previous regime, which was limited to foreign players and an Arab player, which enhances technical competition and raises the level of excitement.
The technical meeting of the tournament in Dubai will be held one day before the start of the competitions, to determine all technical and organizational details related to matches and arbitration mechanisms.
