Qatar Islamic Bank (Bank) launched a set of new features on the bank’s mobile application and the QIB Lite application, with the aim of facilitating access to them and providing greater comfort for customers. These updates come within the framework of the bank’s continuous endeavor to enhance financial inclusion and meet customer needs through its digital channels.
Among the new services, the bank has developed a transfer service for cash receipt to include Jordan through the bank’s mobile application and the QIB Lite application, allowing customers to transfer money immediately to the beneficiaries in Jordan, with the possibility of receiving the amount in cash without the need for a bank account. The move reflects the continuous development of the transfer service for cash receipt, which is now available in Jordan, Egypt and the Philippines.
The bank has also updated the Ooredoo balance filling service via the bank’s mobile application and the QIB Lite application by integrating their (API) interface, allowing customers to recharge the prepaid lines using immediate dynamic bouquets, matching the available packages on the Ooredoo application. This feature provides customers the freedom to choose the right package for their needs flexibly.
To simplify the registration process in the bank’s mobile application, the bank allowed customers a new registration method based on the Qatari ID card (QID). Where customers can now register using a valid Qatari personal card, their registered mobile number, and the password for the direct debit card, which facilitates access to digital banking services and guarantees privacy through a safe and multi -steering verification system.
A new home employment account service has also been added to the Qib Lite app. This update enables domestic workers to open their accounts digitally and in a safe way without the need to visit any branch.
