The Brigadier General.. raises the slogan of correcting the image

The 2024 season was not at all satisfactory for the Dean, as he suffered greatly during it in all aspects and was close to repeating his failure by relegating to the second division again, had it not escaped either direct relegation or through the play-off.
Last season, Al-Ameed came in tenth place with 23 points from 7 wins, 2 draws and 13 defeats. Its recent results and the losses of its competitors Al-Markhiya and Muaither allowed it to escape in the last moments from the danger and specter of relegation.
Last season was also very bad for the Dean after three coaches passed through it: the Montenegrin Nebojsa, the Portuguese Pedro Miguel, and the Bahraini Khalid Taj.
The interesting thing is that Al-Ahly failed despite having good professionals such as Jordanian striker Yazan Al-Naimat, Senegalese Omar Seko, Tunisian playmaker Naim Sliti and German international star Draxler, which raises more than one question mark about the team and the reasons for the failure that the coaches who took responsibility for it bear, as they had all the capabilities available to them.
It is certain that Al-Ameed will strive with all its strength this season to correct the image, correct the path, and restore its image as a strong team that can compete strongly with the big teams for the golden square, which requires a great effort from everyone, whether the technical staff, players, or professionals.
The Dean’s management did not delay in making the necessary changes before the start of the new season and with sufficient time to return the team to its normal path. Al-Ahly was one of the first teams to contract with a new coach, the Croatian Igor Biscan, who arrived and led the beginning of the preparation period in Doha.
Igor Biskan’s mission will certainly not be easy and everyone will be waiting to see what he will offer to the Dean during his tenure. Will he be able to make the team a strong competitor for the golden square, away from the struggle for survival and relegation?
Al-Ahly also renewed its professional ranks by signing Spanish striker Eric Expo Sito and Croatian defender Mate Mitrovic.
He insisted on keeping his Jordanian striker Yazan Al-Naimat despite the offers he received from Qatari and non-Qatari clubs, and he also insisted on continuing with Naim Al-Sulaiti and Draxler. The vision for the rest of the professionals was not clear, namely the Senegalese Omar Seko, who is a candidate to continue, and the Ivorian Idriss Doumbia.
At the level of Qatari professionals, Al-Ameed has concluded two deals so far, signing Hamad Mansour, Al-Shamal player, and Abdulrahman Mohammed, Al-Duhail player.
The Brigadier will hold his European camp in the Netherlands from the 15th of this month until the 2nd of August.
The start of the league for Al-Ameed will be strong and difficult, whether in the match against Al-Wakra, who came fourth last season. The two teams met in the final round last season and Al-Ahli snatched victory with a goal without a response, or in the second, more powerful and difficult match against Al-Gharafa, who came third last season. In the third round, the match will be against Al-Khor.
