The gross domestic product of the Sultanate of Oman at current prices at the end of December 2025 recorded a growth of approximately 42 billion and 143 million Omani riyals, an increase of 2.3 percent compared to the same period in 2024, which amounted to 41 billion 194 million and 300 thousand Omani riyals.
Data from the Omani National Center for Statistics and Information issued yesterday showed that the gross domestic product at current prices increased by 4.6 percent during the fourth quarter of 2025 to reach 11 billion, 61 million and 900 thousand Omani riyals, compared to 10 billion, 573 million and 800 thousand Omani riyals during the same period in 2024.
The results showed that oil activities recorded an increase of 4.6 percent during the fourth quarter of the same year to reach a value of 3 billion, 507 million and 400 thousand Omani riyals, compared to 3 billion, 353 million and 600 thousand Omani riyals in the same quarter of 2024, driven by the rise in the value of the natural gas sector, which jumped from 507 million and 400 thousand Omani riyals to 858 million and 700 thousand Omani riyals. One thousand Omani riyals, with a growth rate of 69.2 percent.
In contrast, the value of the crude oil sector declined by 6.9 percent to reach two billion, 648 million and 800 thousand Omani riyals in the fourth quarter of last year.
Regarding non-oil activities, they continued their positive performance, according to the Centre, recording a growth of 4.8 percent, as their value increased from 7 billion, 428 million and 800 thousand Omani riyals in the fourth quarter of 2024 to 7 billion, 784 million and 100 thousand Omani riyals in the fourth quarter of last year.
