Today, the League of Arab States stressed the importance of raising the level of awareness about breast cancer among women, because of its effects that reflect on the family life of the injuries and affect all family members.
The League of Arab States stressed, in a statement on the occasion of the revival of the “Arab Day to raise awareness of breast cancer”, which falls on the first of October of each year, the importance of this awareness, early detection, and societal support as essential pillars in the face of this disease.
The statement indicated that the Arab Day to raise awareness of breast cancer is celebrated under the umbrella of the “Pink Portfolio: A Regional Initiative for Arab Women’s Health”, which was approved by the “Arab Development Summit: Economic and Social in its Fourth Ordinary session”, as well as by the Arab Health Ministers Council in its 51st regular session, within the framework of interest in women’s health in the Arab region as one of the strategic priorities in the field of achieving gender equality, and its being, and being It represents the cornerstone of building a healthy and healthy society.
The statement pointed out that the initiative calls for encouraging investment and securing the necessary resources to provide early detection services for breast cancer and raise awareness of it, and provide the necessary treatment, as well as allow women to obtain early early detection services in the Arab region.
The statement pointed out that the revival of the Arab Day to raise awareness of breast cancer comes this year under the slogan “Feeling Now”, as the early detection has a fundamental role in preventing and improving the opportunities for healing from this disease, explaining that celebrating this day represents an opportunity to renew the commitment to support the injured and survivors of breast cancer, enhance the culture of solidarity and hope, and continuous work towards developing health care services, diagnosis, treatment and psychological support for women, in confirmation of what came In the “Riyadh Declaration on Arab Women’s Health” issued in October 2017 regarding the importance of enhancing awareness of self -tests and regular examinations in mammogram, and activating the role of health education for women.
