Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Secretary -General of the National Planning Council, the Council concluded the “Datathon Qatar 2025” competition, which was organized in cooperation with the “Microsoft” company for the talented people in the fields of data science in the State of Qatar.
During a ceremony held at the Qatar National Convention Center, the National Planning Council honored the winners of the first three places. The Insity team, consisting of Ahmed Ashraf, Youssef Ali, Sidi Al -Sheikh, Muhannad Walid and Osama Hardan. The IWM team, which consisted of Walid Al -Bahri, Muhammad Abu Hawila, Muhammad Al -Hajj, Muhammad Attia, Abdel -Rahman Hamida and Abdel -Rahman Al -Hiti. The third place was the share of the Engagne team, consisting of Izz al -Din Abu Zahr, Hanin Musleh, Fatima Al -Muhannadi, Shaima Othmani, Nour Othmani and Amal Al -Darwish.
The announcement ceremony for the winners included final shows for the five qualified to the final stage, during which they explained the details of the projects they designed to find solutions to the challenges put forward by the competition. Where the National Planning Council presented the data that helped compete with participants over a period of six days to resolve realistic challenges in various fields such as population, education, labor market, safety and security, health services, ease of access, and environmental sustainability. They are all topics that simulate the results of the third national development strategy.
During the closing ceremony, the National Planning Council celebrated the efforts of all applicants, competitors, partners, guides and rulers, who contributed to the success of this competition, which came with the aim of attracting and sponsoring young talents in the field of data science, and providing an opportunity for them to develop their skills and contribute to facing the challenges imposed by the world of technology fast Evolution, which is in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
