The Qatar Sports for All Federation has completed preparations for the launch of a new version of the long-distance race, the Qatar Ultramarathon, from east to west, at dawn tomorrow, Friday, in cooperation with the Qatar runners team. It starts from the Doha Corniche in front of the Sheraton Hotel, all the way to Dukhan Beach, for a distance of 90 km. In its new version, the race witnesses the participation of large numbers of all nationalities, amounting to 1,500 male and female competitors, with the number of teams reaching 200, and the number of individuals reaching 200. 140 competitors, with distinguished participation, from Qatari runners, champions of the Samla race, including Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, Faisal Al-Qahtani, Ibrahim Al-Harami, Ali Saleh Al-Hajri, and others, in addition to runners of different nationalities, and the teams participate, with a minimum number of two competitors, A maximum of six racers, according to the desire of each team, with the participants taking turns to complete the six stages, while individual participation is available, provided that the racer completes the race distance. Complete, it is open to amateurs, over 16 years old, men and women, and is not limited to professional runners only, and the distance of each stage ranges between 12 and 16 km.
