The Qatari team will compete in the tournament in Group 3, which includes the UAE and Saudi Arabia teams. It will start its journey by meeting its Emirati counterpart next Wednesday, while it will play its Saudi counterpart the following day.
The first group includes the teams of South Korea, Bahrain and Iraq, while the second group includes the teams of Jordan, Japan and India, while the fourth group includes the teams of Iran, Kuwait, Chinese Taipei and China.
The first and second place teams from each group will qualify for the main round, during which the eight qualified teams will be divided into two groups, with four teams in each group, with the first and second place teams qualifying for the semi-finals.
The top five teams in the Asian Championship will qualify for the World Championship in Slovenia 2025.
