The start of the 10-ball billiards World Cup

The 10-ball World Cup Billiards Championship competitions kicked off yesterday, hosted by the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation until December 14th, with the participation of 240 players representing nearly 50 countries.
Yesterday witnessed the start of the first stage of the tournament, which witnesses the participation of 128 players, and competitions are held between them over four consecutive days, resulting in 16 players qualifying for the second stage of the tournament, with four players qualifying each day. The second stage of competitions in the tournament will witness the presence of 112 classified players, in addition to 16 players who qualified from the first stage, and a lottery will be held among them to determine the matches according to classification, as the matches are held in a knockout system.
The second stage of the tournament is scheduled to witness the participation of six Qatari players, namely Ali Al-Obaidli, Muhanna Al-Obaidli, Khamis Al-Obaidli, Bashar Hussein, Abdullatif Al-Fawal, and Mishal Al-Ali, while 10 players will compete in the first stage in order to compete for 16 qualifying cards for the second stage.
It is worth noting that Qatar will host the 10-ball Billiards World Cup for 5 consecutive years, starting from this year’s edition until 2028.
