The Sin Al-Laqaya competitions began today as part of the third local race for purebred Arabian camels for the season (2024-2025), which is organized by the Camel Racing Committee during the morning period, and will continue until the twenty-eighth of this October at Al-Sheehaniya and Basir fields, amid large participation from fans of this traditional sport.
The competition was strong in the various rounds, as 30 rounds were held over a distance of 4 kilometers, including 17 rounds for Al-Qayaa Al-Bakkar, and 13 rounds for Al-Qayaa Al-Qaadan (open rounds), of which two rounds were allocated to the production of the State of Qatar, 6 rounds for personal production, and two main rounds for Omani women.
In the main first-half competitions of the Al-Qayaa Bakar Open, “Shakra” Malak Mansour Muhammad Al-Khayareen was crowned champion after she presented an exceptional performance, and was able to take the lead, achieving victory and the title in a time of 6.04.21 minutes, which is the best time during the morning period today.
“Tarab”, owned by Jaber Abdullah Al Marri, came in second place, recording a time of 6:05:75 minutes, while “Al Sadawiya”, owned by Atiq Faran Al Marri, came in third place, recording a time of 6:09:05 minutes.
On the other hand, “Al-Hasil” King of Salem Hamad Al-Marri won the title of the main first half of the open seated race, after covering the race distance in a time of 6.04.39 minutes, ahead of “Sayyaf” King of Salem Masoud Al-Marri, who came second with a time of 6.04.39 minutes. :05:46 minutes, and “Al-Mu’arab” Malak Ali Saleh Masoud Al-Marri came in third place with a time of 6:05:96 minutes.
“Jamila” Malak Mansour Muhammad Al-Khayareen won the title of the main race reserved for the women of Omani women, with a time of 6:13:62 minutes, while “Lamah” Malak Sultan Muhammad Al-Dosari won the title of the main race designated for the women of Qaya Qadan, Omani women, with a time of 6:10.46 minutes.
As for the production rounds, “Samla”, owned by Mansour Abdullah Al-Attiyah, won the title of the main round of Al-Qaya Bakkar production, after winning the lead in the half with a time of 6.10.24 minutes. On the other hand, “Saqeel”, owned by Abdullah Saleh Al-Marri, won the title of the main round of Al-Qaya Qa’dan production. With a unique timing of 6.10.62 minutes.
Finally, in the races produced by the State of Qatar, “Ghna” King Hamad Abdullah Al-Qarah won the title of the race designated for the first-time production races of the State of Qatar, recording a time of 6.15.60 minutes.
“Al-Baher”, Malak Ali Fahd Al-Safran, also won the title of the final round, which was allocated to Al-Qayaa Qadaan, produced by Qatar, in a time limit of 6.08.08 minutes.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, the third local camel race competitions will continue with 26 rounds for Sun Laqaya (open rounds), with 16 rounds for camels and 14 rounds for qadaan, over a distance of 4 kilometers.
