Vodafone is the strategic partner of Qatar Social Responsibility Week

Vodafone Qatar participated in Qatar CSR Week 2024 as a strategic partner. This annual event coincided with World Social Responsibility Day, and aimed to highlight the efforts of the private and public sectors in achieving Qatar’s sustainability goals.
This partnership comes within the framework of Vodafone Qatar’s ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between public and private institutions, including the Ministry of Social Development and Family, to achieve sustainability goals that are in line with the National Strategy of the State of Qatar in the field of social responsibility.
Vodafone Qatar was represented at this event by the Chief Human Resources Officer, Mr. Khamis Mohammed Al Nuaimi, and the Director of Legal Department, Mr. Dani Sharabeh, who each delivered keynote speeches highlighting Vodafone Qatar’s initiatives in the areas of sustainability and cultural enrichment, and the role of laws and regulations in supporting responsibility activities. Social issues in Qatar, and the importance of integrating these values ​​into the company’s operations.
In his opening speech, Al Nuaimi stressed the strategic importance of this partnership in the success of Qatar Social Responsibility Week, and how this cooperation contributes to strengthening the culture of social responsibility in Qatar by consolidating the principles of sustainability and social responsibility in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Al Nuaimi also touched on the pivotal role played by the private sector in supporting the government’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development, noting that social responsibility is not just a moral obligation, but rather an essential part of any sustainable growth and development strategy for companies in the country. He explained that Vodafone adopts this approach through its initiatives in the areas of environmental protection, sports promotion, and sustainable technology development.
During a discussion session, Sharabeh spoke about the vital role that telecommunications service providers play in shaping modern society in the digital age. He stressed that social responsibility forms an integral part of Vodafone Qatar’s strategy, which is clearly evident in the company’s ongoing efforts to develop youth talents, support sports activities, and sponsor cultural initiatives in cooperation with local entities.
Sharabeh also touched on the legal framework established by the state to promote social responsibility, noting that these laws aim to support community activities, which contributes to promoting sustainable development and the well-being of Qatari society.
