Tomorrow, Wednesday, the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club will organize the first race of the season (2024-2025) for the Labshiriya Cup for distinguished novice purebred Arabian horses (Class 6) for a distance of 1,900 metres.
The eighth and final main half of tomorrow’s race, designated for the Cup, will witness the participation of 16 horses, most notably “AA Kindled Speed,” owned by Hassan Ali Abdul Malik Al Abdul Malik, “Batak,” owned by Nasser Saif Abdullah Rashid Al Kubaisi, “Ghayat Al Matroub,” owned by Enjaz Stud, and “Batak,” owned by Nasser Saif Abdullah Rashid Al Kubaisi. HM Zabraj, owned by Al-Ghazali Stud, Gibraltar, owned by Al-Kharayb Stud, HCM Horse, owned by Ibrahim Saeed Ibrahim Al-Maliki, Lightning Struck, owned by Mohammed Ahmed Salman Al-Hajri, Mared Al-Jasra, owned by Al-Ghazali Stud, “Mahib” belongs to Hamad Ahmed Hassan Al Malki Al Juhani, “Amour” belongs to Sharq Stud, “Fathi” belongs to Wadhanan Racing, “Jadal” belongs to Saeed bin Mubarak Saeed Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, “Nafja” belongs to Al Shaqab Racing, and “Zarqa” The mare is owned by Nasser Sultan Nasser Al-Hamidi, “Zidan” is owned by Enjaz Stud, and “AJS Naif” is owned by Salem Fadgham Amer Al-Hajri.
In the remaining rounds of the race, from the first to the seventh in succession, the first is allocated to purebred crossbred horses of local production – parity (30 – 50) of (class 5) for a distance of 1700 metres, and the second is allocated to purebred crossbred horses – parity (50 – 70) of (class 5) for a distance. 1200 metres.
The third race is allocated to purebred crossbred horses that are beginners and winners of the (female) race (class 5) for a distance of 1200 metres, and the fourth is for purebred Arabian horses (parity 60-80) of (class 4) for a distance of 1200 metres.
The fifth race is for purebred Arabian horses (local production), parity (60-80) of (class 4) for a distance of 1200 metres, the sixth is for purebred Arabian horses, parity is (65-85) of (class 4) for a distance of 1700 metres, and the seventh is for purebred crossbred horses, parity is ( 80 – 105) from (Class 2) for a distance of 1700 metres.
The 2024-2025 season was scheduled to start about two weeks ago, but was postponed due to the failure to prepare the Al Rayyan grass track. The new horse racing season includes 69 races, including 47 races at Al Rayyan Racecourse, and 22 races at Al Oqda Racecourse.
