The State of Qatar participates in the Forum of Governors of the Islamic Development Bank in Medina

The State of Qatar participated in the Islamic Development Bank Governors Forum, which was held in Medina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The State of Qatar was represented by His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, at the forum, which was attended by a number of finance ministers in Islamic countries, representatives of financial institutions and experts in Islamic finance, in addition to representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations.

His Excellency the Minister of Finance participated in the technical presentation presented by the project team on the bank’s working document, in addition to reviewing the strategic framework document for the future of the bank.

The forum discussed the most prominent economic challenges facing Islamic countries, in addition to future opportunities of interest to all concerned parties. The forum also provided a platform for high-level consultations, to exchange opinions, ideas and proposals, with the aim of enriching the process of preparing for the future of the Islamic Development Bank and enhancing its role in serving member countries.

This forum is an important step towards enhancing joint cooperation between Islamic countries and discussing ways to confront economic challenges, in line with the goals of sustainable development in the Islamic world.
