The Souq Waqif Equestrian Festival 2025 will start tomorrow, in the western square of Souq Waqif, amid a large participation of owners, breeders, farms and stalls in Qatar and the region.
The festival, which will be held from January 14 to 21, will witness the holding of 3 important events, as the 6th Souq Waqif International Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses (A) begins today and will be held over 3 consecutive days, followed by the 14th Qatar International Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses (S). ) from January 18 to 20, while the horse auction (camel category) will be held on January 21.
The Souq Waqif Equestrian Festival 2025 is receiving great attention and follow-up, as it witnesses a large audience of horse lovers and also Souq Waqif goers who enjoy the competitions and also the activities organized by the race’s organizing committee, which this year is witnessing many competitions and traditional children’s events.
The sixth Souq Waqif International Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses (A) begins with the qualifying rounds for one-year-old fillies and witnesses 4 qualifying competitions, followed by the one-year-old foals competitions, which are held in two competitions, followed by the qualifying rounds for fillies aged 2 and 3 years and colts aged 2 and 3 years, then the qualifying rounds for mares aged 4 – 6 years, the mares are 7 to 10 years old, then the mares are 11 years old and above, followed by the stallion qualifiers, age 4. To 6 years old, the stallions are 7 to 10 years old, and the stallions are 11 years old and above. The qualifying rounds will be held over two days, with the finals being held and the champions and heroines being crowned with a gold, silver and bronze medal on the third and final day the day after tomorrow, Thursday.
