The State Sports Day Committee announced the standards and conditions that must be adhered to and followed by all governmental and private agencies when organizing events during State Sports Day 2025, with the aim of providing the conditions for the success of all events, and to ensure the achievement of the desired goals of holding the Sports Day.

The committee confirmed in a statement that all ministries and other government agencies, all public bodies and institutions, and entities operating in the country, including the private sector, must provide the committee with their programs and plans related to the activities of the National Sports Day for the year 2025.

She noted the necessity of filling out the form for the State Sports Day from the website www.msy.gov.qa.

In its statement, the Sports Day Committee clarified the criteria that must be adhered to in choosing the activities that will be organized during the National Sports Day, foremost of which is focusing on physical and movement activities, and avoiding all showy aspects of celebrations.

She highlighted the need to pay attention to awareness-raising activities that aim at the importance of exercising as a daily healthy behavior, to consolidate the idea of ​​“sport is life.”

It was also emphasized that the proposed sports activities should be appropriate to the ages and health conditions of the participants, in terms of the nature of the sports and physical activities and their duration, to ensure the avoidance of stress and injuries.

The committee explained that it had addressed ministries and other government agencies, all public bodies and institutions, and entities operating in the country, including the private sector, with the necessity of adhering to those standards and conditions that come in order to achieve the desired goals, contained in Emiri Resolution No. (80) of 2011. Regarding the National Sports Day, and in continuation of achieving the noble and lofty goals that it embodies.

The conditions that must be followed included avoiding building tents or temporary sports headquarters, taking into account security and safety requirements during the holding of sporting events, and the importance of exploiting facilities, sports facilities, parks and public places.

In addition to committing to providing healthy food, avoiding serving fast food, and not distributing gifts or free food to the public.

The standards and conditions also included a call to refrain from organizing performance and singing activities, rather than organizing sports and movement events, which may lead to participants preferring to watch these activities rather than practicing sports.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, a member of the State Sports Day Committee, confirmed that the committee receives requests from all parties for the activities that it intends to organize in order to evaluate them, and quickly publish them to inform the public about them early, explaining the importance of distributing the events in all regions of the northern and southern state and central Doha, to provide the opportunity for the largest number of audiences. To practice sports activity in public squares and parks.

Al-Dosari explained that the National Sports Day plays a major role in promoting public health and physical activity, noting that the Ministry of Sports and Youth launched the National Sports Day Award with this edition for the first time this year, to promote positive competition between various institutions.
