The Qatar Stock Exchange and the banks operating in the country will resume their work normally as of Sunday, July 19, following the end of the suspension period that came in implementation of the instructions of the Qatar Central Bank and the Qatar Financial Markets Authority regarding the Emiri Diwan’s declaration of general mourning throughout the country for the great loss of the nation, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, may God have mercy on him.
The Qatar Stock Exchange had announced the suspension of trading as of Monday, July 13, 2026, based on the instructions of the regulatory authorities, provided that trading will officially resume next Sunday, coinciding with the return of financial and banking institutions to conducting their business according to usual working hours.
It is expected that trading sessions on the Qatar Stock Exchange will return normally, in addition to banks resuming the provision of various services through branches and electronic channels, ensuring the continued provision of financial and banking services to individuals and companies efficiently.
The resumption of work comes after the end of the official mourning period that witnessed the cessation of trading in the financial market, within the framework of compliance with the directives issued by the competent authorities.
