Today is the Executive Office meeting…the conclusion of the qualifying rounds for “West Asia”

The competitions of the Second West Asian Bow and Arrow Championship, currently being held at the Lusail Shooting Ranges Complex, will conclude tomorrow with the participation of approximately 100 archers, male and female, representing 9 countries, with the holding of gold medal matches and bronze medal matches in various categories for individual and team teams for men and women, and mixed teams in the two competitions, followed by the crowning of the winners. The tournament’s fourth day’s competitions were strong and exciting, and witnessed the elimination rounds for the men’s and women’s singles competitions in the Olympic and compound arch competitions. It is expected that the meeting of the Executive Office of the West Asian Federation will be held today at five o’clock in the evening at the Meridien Fondum Hotel in Lusail.
In the Olympic Bracket competition for the men’s singles category, Saudi Abdul Rahman Al-Mousa qualified for the gold medal match to face his compatriot Mansour Alawi, while Qatari Ahmed Al-Sada competed with Emirati Abdullah Al-Ketbi in the bronze medal match.
In the same competition for the women’s singles category, Qatari national team player Maha Abdel Hay qualified to face Kuwaiti national team player Souad Al Bahar in the gold medal match… while Saudi national team player Aya Felemban will compete with Emirati national team player Aisha Al Ali in the bronze medal match.
As for the men’s singles compound bow competition, Saudi Ali Al-Baqmi qualified to face Kuwaiti Abdullah Mal Allah in the gold medal match, while Saudi Bilal Al-Awadhi will face his Iraqi counterpart Abdullah Al-Shaibani in the bronze medal match.
In the same women’s singles competition, Qatar’s national team player Aisha Al-Sa’i qualified to face UAE’s Amna Al-Awadhi in the gold medal match, while Syrian national team player Yolanda Galul will meet Saudi Arabia’s Raghda Kaabi in the bronze medal match.
Mr. Adel Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Media Committee of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation, praised the distinguished organization of the tournament and the strong competitions between the various participants in the two competitions.
Al-Hammadi said in a press statement: “The Qatari Federation presented a distinguished version of this tournament, technically and organizationally, by providing facilities and stadiums at the highest level that contributed to the tournament having an international character.”
He added: “Since its launch, the tournament has written a certificate of success, and this was reflected in the reaction of the participants, who praised the high organization of the tournament by the Qatar Shooting Federation.”
For his part, Mr. Abdullah Al-Nwaisir, Executive Director of the Saudi Arrows Federation, expressed his astonishment at the strong technical levels presented by the shooters of the teams participating in the tournament.
Al-Nuwaisir said in a similar statement, “This edition of the tournament was distinguished at all levels, whether organizational, by providing wonderful fields at the highest level and very advanced facilities and installations. I thank the Qatar Shooting Federation for this more than wonderful organization, as witnessed by all the participating teams, especially our Saudi arrow team.”
