Tomorrow: the start of the West Asian Under-20 Beach Volleyball Championship for Women in Doha

Tomorrow, Monday, the West Asian Beach Volleyball Championship for Women Under 20 will begin, which will last two days on the Al Gharafa beach courts.

Along with Qatar, the host country, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria are participating in the tournament.

The teams participating in the tournament conducted their training at Al Gharafa stadiums, and friendly matches were held in preparation for the start of the official competitions tomorrow.

18 local referees participate in managing the tournament matches, which comes within the framework of supporting women’s sports and developing beach volleyball at the regional and international levels.

Qatar is participating in the tournament with two teams, with female players Malak Hashem, Laden Al-Walid, Loujain Mahmoud, and Maryam Ammar.

The Qatari women’s beach volleyball team underwent an intensive training program focusing on developing individual and team skills, and the players were prepared through internal camps to ensure their readiness to compete with other participating teams to achieve advanced positions and raise the Qatari flag in this regional forum.

The Qatari team’s participation in this tournament reflects Qatar’s commitment to developing women’s sports and highlighting young talent on the regional and international sports scene.

On the sidelines of the tournament, the International Volleyball Federation Foundation is organizing an educational event for children, in which 150 students from several schools participate, aiming to enhance awareness of the sport of beach volleyball and develop the skills of the younger generation.
