The Pearl Island Marina, which opened in 2007 and whose wooden walkway extends approximately five kilometers, is the largest marina in the region, and its operational excellence, commitment to technological progress and innovation, and following sustainable practices were among the most important factors in its winning the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards.
These awards celebrate the distinguished contributions of the United Development Company in developing the marina, which has become a major center for yachting and marine activities in the Middle East. It also enhances the company’s leadership in the field of technological advancement, innovation and sustainable marine management.
In this context, United Development Company is cooperating with the Monaco Marina Management to enhance world-class yachting services and facilities at the Pearl Island Marina, by working to secure the prestigious La Belle Classe Destinations brand from the Monaco Yacht Club.
The Pearl Island Marina plays a vital role in UDC’s broader sustainability efforts, as the company’s commitment to preserving marine ecosystems, clean waters and supporting marine species has been a key factor in gaining international recognition.
It is noteworthy that the recognition granted by the “Abu Dhabi Marine Awards 2024” confirms UDC’s continued commitment to excellence in marina management, sustainability and innovation, as the company continues its commitment to enhancing the contributions of the Pearl Island Marina and continuing to set new standards for the marina and yacht industry at the regional and global levels.
