Qatar Energy has won a license for exploration and exploration in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, as part of the 2024 tenders round for oil and gas exploration licenses, which represents the first entry of Qatar Energy in the exploration and exploration sector in Algeria.
The National Agency for the Valuation of Fuel Resources “oil” has announced the results of the competitive tender, as exploration and production rights in the wild region “Ahara” in eastern Algeria were granted to an alliance of Qatar Energy with an actual share of 24.5 %, and Total Enem (operator during the exploration phase) with an actual share of 24.5 %, and the Algerian government oil and gas company “Sonatrach” with a share Actual 51 %.
