Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has predicted that Meta AI is on track to become the most widely used AI assistant by the end of this year.
Zuckerberg noted in a press release today that the amount of computing resources needed to train the Llama 4 AI model will certainly be ten times greater than those used in Llama 3.
In a related context, he stated that generative artificial intelligence will soon be able to create ads on its own and make them personalized according to the user’s interests.
Last April, Meta unveiled the new version of Meta AI, its artificial intelligence assistant that answers users’ questions, similar to ChatGPT.
The assistant has gained traction on the group’s platforms thanks to Llama 3, the latest version of the company’s AI model, which is comparable to OpenAI’s ChatGPT 4 and Google’s Gemini.
The ability for models to answer users’ questions or even talk to them promises to revolutionize online search.
Meta, the owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, had previously announced a 73 percent increase in its net profits on an annual basis, reaching $13.5 billion in the second quarter of this year.
