Today, the first meeting of the Referees Committee of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation for the year 2024 was held at the Federation’s headquarters in Doha.
The meeting was chaired by Qatari Hani Ballan, and attended by committee members: Ibrahim Mubarak Al Hosni (Oman), Abdulrahman Al Amri (Saudi Arabia), Ali Al Samahiji (Bahrain), and Hamad Al Mazrouei (UAE).
The meeting participants discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the process of selecting referees for the Gulf Club Champions League competitions for the 2024-2025 season, in addition to selecting referee evaluators for the tournament itself.
Some other points related to future courses and activities were also discussed.
The Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation announced yesterday, Sunday, the clubs participating in the Gulf Club Champions League, which will start on September 24 and continue until April 25, 2025.
Eight clubs are participating in the tournament: Al-Arabi of Qatar, Al-Nasr of the UAE, Al-Riffa of Bahrain, Al-Qadisiyah of Kuwait, Al-Ettifaq of Saudi Arabia, Dhofar of Oman, Dohuk of Iraq, and Al-Ahly of Sana’a of Yemen.
