The Asian Football Confederation issued the new classification of the men’s club competitions 2024-2025, after the end of the season, as Qatar achieved fifth place with 69,326 points that its clubs collected during its participation in the continental championships from 2016 until the current season, which witnessed the Al-Sadd qualifying to the quarter-finals and Al Rayyan to the round of 16 in the Elite Champions League, while Al Gharafa bid farewell to the championship from the first round, and the Al-Wakra qualified to the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League 2.
Saudi Arabia topped the overall ranking after its clubs collected a total of 119.957 points, to overlook the top of the classification, ahead of Japan, which ranked second, and the Republic of Korea, which came third.
Japan ranked second with 107.663.
As for the Republic of Korea, it came third with 90,982 points.
The UAE booked fourth, after the historic Sharjah crowned the AFC Champions League, along with the coronation of Al Ain with the AFC Champions League 2023-2024.
The AFC also revealed the distribution of seats for the season of Asian clubs competitions 2026-2027, Saudi Arabia continued to export it to the West region with three direct seats in the group stage of the AFC Champions League, in addition to a seat in the AFC Champions League II.
The UAE and Qatar came in the second and third places in the western region, where each of them won two direct seats and an indirect seat in the AFC Champions League, along with a direct seat in the AFC Champions League second.
