Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported yesterday, Monday, that 41% of patients with kidney failure were martyred since the beginning of the war in light of the inability to obtain dialysis as a result of the destruction of health facilities and the disruption of basic medical services.

The sources pointed out that the Noura Al -Kaabi Center for dialysis located in the north of the Gaza Strip went out of service after suffering severe damage, and it was one of the main centers that provide care for hundreds of patients with kidney failure.

The sources said that the absence of specialized centers in the northern sector complicates the health status of patients who depend on regular washing, amid warnings of more deterioration in the event that these facilities are not restarted or urgent alternatives are provided.

The health system in the Gaza Strip suffers from a near -complete collapse as a result of the Israeli aggression and the extermination war launched by the Israeli occupation army since October 2023, as the majority of hospitals have been out of service due to the bombing or fuel deficiency and medical supplies.

The World Health Organization says that less than 30% of the health facilities in Gaza are partially operating, while the sector suffers from a severe shortage of medicines, especially those designated for chronic diseases.

Weak groups, such as cancer patients and kidney failure, face increasing difficulties in reaching health care in light of the closure of crossings and the absence of logistical capabilities to transport patients outside the sector to receive treatment.

UN organizations have repeatedly warned of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip in light of the continuous collapse of the health sector, and the increasing number of civilian victims as a result of the lack of emergency or specialized medical services.

With absolute American support, Israel has committed since October 7, 2023 genocide in the Gaza Strip, which left more than 178,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11 thousand missing, as well as hundreds of thousands of displaced people.
