French media reports indicated that the Arab club reached an agreement with French midfielder Jordan Verto, to join his ranks for two seasons. Verto is 32 years old, and he is the playmaker center, and he was previously represented by Nante, Aston Villa, Fiorentina and Roma, before moving to Marseille, then to Lyon in 2024. He played more than 500 games in his career, during which he scored 66 goals and presented 63 decisive passes, and was crowned with the France national team the European Champions League 2021, and participated in the 2022 World Cup.
Verto is expected to be a strong addition to the team, especially after the departure of Italian Ferrati to Al -Duhail and Jassim Jaber to Al -Rayyan. In the same context, Argentine defender Alexander Barbosa is expected to arrive in Doha during the coming hours to end the procedures for his transfer.
