The famous Dutch coach, Louis van Gaal, announced his full recovery from prostate cancer, which had been revealed three years ago. In statements made during a Dutch television interview, Van Gaal (73 years) stressed that the disease no longer affects him, noting that his health and stability improves, as he continues to conduct periodic tests every few months.
Van Gaal had led the Dutch national team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, before he temporarily moved away from training because of his health. Although he was away from clubs, he did not rule out again to train one of the major teams if the opportunity arises, stressing that the incentive is still there to continue his career at the highest levels of football.
Van Gaal currently holds the position of technical advisor for Ajax Amsterdam, at a time when he adheres to his strong relationship with football, based on a brilliant training course that included ancient clubs such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
