Qatar Airways Group revealed today that it recorded net profits amounting to 7.08 billion riyals (1.94 billion US dollars) for the fiscal year (2025-2026), after deducting taxes.
The group said in a statement today that these results reflect a distinguished and strong performance, especially in light of the last month of the fiscal year being affected by major geopolitical challenges, a clear confirmation of the strength of its business approach and the operational flexibility it enjoys.
The statement indicated that, during the fiscal year (2025-2026), Qatar Airways Group continued the process of development and innovation, providing world-class services and products to travelers and the business sector, thus enhancing the comprehensive travel experience.
He explained that Qatar Airways provided its services to 41.8 million passengers through its growing global network of destinations, maintaining seamless air connectivity through Hamad International Airport.
At the same time, the air cargo sector continued its leading performance, with Qatar Airways Cargo transporting more than 1.43 million tons of dutiable weight, strengthening its position as the largest air cargo subsidiary of a commercial airline in the world with a global market share of 12 percent.
In terms of operational performance, Qatar Airways maintained its leadership in the aviation sector in terms of punctuality, recording an 86 percent accuracy rate in take-off and arrival, which established its position among the five best punctual airlines in the world.
This achievement culminated in Qatar Airways receiving a Platinum Performance Award from Cirium, the most distinguished and appreciated award in evaluating the performance of operational operations in the aviation sector.
Mr. Hamad Ali Al Khater, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group, said on this occasion: “Rarely does a single financial year put any organization before a test that requires it to demonstrate the highest levels of operational performance and the highest degrees of institutional flexibility. Qatar Airways Group stated that the main achievements during the past fiscal year included a record expansion in the size of the fleet, as the group signed strategic agreements with Boeing and General Electric Aviation for the purpose of purchasing and maintaining up to 210 aircraft and 400 engines, in one of the largest fleet modernization and expansion deals in the history of commercial aviation.
He pointed out that these achievements also included Qatar Airways, which is the best airline in the world for a record ninth time, receiving the award for the best airline in the world for the year 2025 by Skytrax International, in an unprecedented achievement that establishes its distinction and leadership in the global aviation sector, and a platinum performance award from Cirium in recognition of its outstanding performance in punctuality of 86 percent, which placed it on the list of the five best airlines for punctuality at the level of The world.
The statement noted that Qatar Airways operates the first and largest fleet of wide-body aircraft equipped with Starlink technology, where passengers on board Boeing 777, Airbus A350, and Boeing 787-8 aircraft enjoy free, high-speed Internet access on various flights, including long and very long flights around the world.
