His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, participated in the Group of Seven (G7) meeting entitled “The Global Economic Situation,” on the sidelines of the meetings held in the French capital, Paris.
The meeting discussed developments in the global economic situation and the challenges facing the international economy, in addition to ways to enhance international cooperation to support financial stability and achieve sustainable economic growth.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a luncheon was held, attended by Their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance and participating central bank governors, where views were exchanged on a number of economic and financial issues of common interest.
His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, met with His Excellency Mr. Roland Lescure, Minister of Economy, Finance, Industry and Digital Sovereignty of the French Republic. During the meeting, the most prominent issues and topics of common interest between the two countries were discussed, especially in the economic and financial fields, in addition to reviewing the best ways and strategies to enhance joint cooperation and develop the partnership between them.
