Today, French Prime Minister Sebastien Le Cornu announced the allocation of an additional 655 million euros to develop artificial intelligence within the “France 2030” program, stressing that the goal is to ensure that the French benefit from this technological revolution and to enhance the country’s digital sovereignty.

Lecorno explained through his social media accounts that the new investments will be directed to supporting infrastructure, computing capabilities, scientific research, companies and industrial sectors, stressing the need to build French and European independence in the digital field and avoid any strategic dependency abroad.

He said that the ability of ministries to employ artificial intelligence will be taken into account in the future when preparing public budgets, with the aim of simplifying procedures, improving public services, and reducing costs without compromising their quality.

Locorno stated that the Ministries of Justice and Interior will benefit this year from the latest artificial intelligence technologies, while a digital health assistant based on artificial intelligence will be launched through the French health insurance platform.

Artificial intelligence, robotics and digital sovereignty are at the forefront of the tenth session of the Vivatech exhibition in Paris, the largest European event dedicated to technology and innovation, which begins tomorrow, Wednesday, and continues until next Saturday.
