The number of visitors to the State of Qatar last June reached 222 thousand visitors, which reflects the good performance of the tourism sector thanks to the various attractions that the State of Qatar abounds throughout the year, such as landmarks, leading tourist destinations, events and festivals that are organized, as well as the authentic Arab hospitality for which it is famous.
Statistics issued by Qatar Tourism on its official website showed that the total number of visitors in June 2026 reached 222,000, compared to 337,000 in June 2025.
The number of visitors arriving to Qatar by air reached 138,000, representing 60% of the total number of visitors, while 82,000 visitors arrived by land, representing 40% of the total number of visitors.
According to Qatar Tourism statistics at the end of June, the GCC countries are still the largest contributor to the number of international visitors to Qatar this year, with more than 693,000 visitors arriving from them, representing 39.6% of the total visitors coming to the country.
In terms of visitors from other countries, visitors from Asian countries came in second place with 382,000 visitors (21.8%), and visitors from the European continent ranked third with a number of visitors with about 380,000 visitors (21.7%), while visitors from other Arab countries came in fourth place with 127,000 visitors (7.2%), then visitors from the Americas with 119,000 visitors (6.8%) came in fifth place, and as for visitors from African countries, the number reached 49. One thousand visitors (2.8%) ranked sixth.
In this context, Visit Qatar launched its annual summer campaign under the slogan “Hello Summer,” which aims to provide an exceptional summer season full of events and entertainment experiences covering all parts of the country.
The campaign aims to consolidate the position of the State of Qatar as a leading summer destination that combines entertainment and luxury available to everyone. The campaign will start throughout the summer months, starting in May and extending until the end of September 2026, in a full season that transforms the capital, Doha, into an integrated entertainment city.
The “Hello Summer” campaign breaks the prevailing stereotype about summer in the State of Qatar, and reveals another side of the country that is full of exceptional experiences, international events, and diverse activities that meet the aspirations of all segments of visitors, from families and friends to couples and adventure lovers.
