The Doha Bank Stars League football clubs are putting the final touches on their preparations, 48 hours before the official kick-off of the 2026-2027 sports season, amidst a state of anticipation and excitement for the start of the tournament competitions that begin on Thursday, August 20, with the participation of 12 teams.
As the starting whistle approaches, the clubs enter the final stage of preparations, after working over the past weeks to prepare their teams technically and physically, completing their rosters and strengthening their ranks with the elements that the technical staff believes are capable of achieving the required addition, in a season that is expected to witness strong competition for the title and advanced positions.
Preparations were not limited to the technical aspect, as the Qatar Stars League and the clubs were keen to complete the various organizational and administrative arrangements for the matches.
Technical and organizational readiness
The picture appears clear within the clubs, as everyone is required to transform what was worked on during the preparation period into results on the field. The coaches have put the final touches on the plans and formations, and the players are racing against time to reach the highest levels of readiness, while the administrative bodies are working to finalize the details related to the first matches.
The clubs had settled their coaches’ files early, in a move that reflects their desire to achieve technical stability before the start of the season, while they continued to strengthen their ranks during the summer transfer period, in an attempt to build teams capable of competing and achieving the set goals.
The new edition also highlights Lusail’s participation for the first time in the club’s history.

In parallel with the teams’ preparations, public and promotional preparations for the new season are continuing, as the Mall of Qatar is witnessing promotional events with the participation of a number of clubs and players, as part of working to enhance public attendance and introduce the teams and their stars before the start of the competitions.
