Tomorrow, Doha will witness the signing ceremony of the agreement to accredit the Al Gharafa Beach Volleyball Center as a distinguished and accredited international center within the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), in the presence of Brazilian Fabio Azevedo, President of the International Federation, Ali bin Ghanem Al Kuwari, President of the Qatari and West Asian Volleyball Federations, and Mohammed Salem Al Kuwari, Member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Volleyball Federation.
The signing ceremony will take place at ten in the morning in the Olympic Committee hall at the Al Gharafa Beach Volleyball Center and Courts, in the presence of a number of officials, sports and media figures.
The accreditation of the center represents a new step in the development of beach volleyball in Qatar, and reflects international confidence in the facilities and organizational and technical capabilities that Doha possesses.
It is expected that the accreditation will allow the center to host camps, training and development programmes, in addition to international and continental tournaments and events, in a way that supports the development of players, coaches and technical staff. The signing ceremony coincides with the conclusion of the U-17 World Championship, which enhances the importance of the event and confirms the depth of cooperation between the international and Qatari federations, and Qatar’s growing position in developing and hosting volleyball and beach volleyball events.
