Qatar Development Bank "Development partner" For the Qatar International Exhibition and Conference for Medical and Healthcare Supplies

The organizing committee of the Qatar International Medical and Healthcare Supplies Exhibition and Conference (QMED 2026) announced that Qatar Development Bank has joined the event as a “development partner,” in a move that reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting the growth of the healthcare sector and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the State of Qatar.

QMED 2026 will be held from October 14 to 16 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Health, with the participation of an elite group of health institutions and local and international companies.

Qatar Development Bank confirmed in a statement today that its joining QMED 2026, the largest international exhibition specialized in medical supplies and health care in the State of Qatar, falls within the national efforts aimed at developing an advanced and sustainable health sector, capable of keeping pace with the growing needs locally and adopting modern solutions and technologies, stressing the continuation of its leadership role in supporting companies based in Qatar, working in the medical fields and the health care sector, based on their basic role in developing health products and services, enhancing the sustainability of supply chains and developing specialized national capabilities. And stimulate innovation and investment in this strategic sector.

The exhibition is expected to attract more than 20,000 specialized visitors, with the participation of about 150 local and international companies, in addition to pavilions from the United States, Italy, Turkey, China, and a number of Gulf Arab states, in addition to a scientific conference and specialized workshops that discuss the latest developments in the fields of medical technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and innovation in health care.

Mr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Mahasneh, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications Department at Qatar Development Bank, said: “Qatar Development Bank’s participation in the Qatar International Medical and Healthcare Supplies Exhibition and Conference, as the development partner of the event, comes as an extension of its national role in supporting Qatar-based companies operating in priority sectors, especially the health sector.

He added that this event represents an interactive platform that brings together companies, investors, decision-makers and specialized expertise, as the bank’s pavilion at the exhibition will include a number of national factories and companies operating in the health sector, in line with the objectives of the third national development strategy of the State of Qatar (2024-2030), which aims to enhance the participation of the private sector in the national health system and improve the quality of services it provides to the Qatari community.”

For his part, Mr. Khalifa Salman Al-Muhannadi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the QMED 2026 Exhibition and Conference, said: Qatar Development Bank is one of the most prominent national institutions supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, and this partnership will constitute a qualitative addition to the exhibition by supporting Qatari companies, enhancing investment opportunities, and opening new horizons for cooperation between the health and economic sectors.

He added that the bank’s participation will contribute to enhancing the presence of Qatari companies operating in the health care sector, supporting emerging and innovative companies, and linking them with local and international investors and partners, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the health sector in the State of Qatar.

He stressed that QMED 2026 continues to consolidate its position as the most important specialized platform for healthcare in the State of Qatar, as it brings together government agencies, hospitals, medical technology companies, manufacturers, distributors, researchers, and investors under one roof, supporting the exchange of knowledge, concluding partnerships, and showcasing the latest medical innovations.
