Google has officially announced the launch of the “Gemini” application for computers running the “Windows 10” and “Windows 11” systems, and making it available globally to users of the “Windows” system, with support for “x64” and “ARM64” processors, in all countries and languages in which the “Gemini” service is available.
The application provides an integrated experience on the computer, allowing the user to access the assistant while using other applications without the need to open the browser. It can be quickly launched using the keyboard shortcut “Alt + Space”, to appear above the active window, where the user can ask questions, verify information, and get help with a variety of tasks. The user can also change the launch shortcut from the application settings, or open Gemini from the Windows taskbar and system area.
One of the most prominent features available in the Windows application is the ability to take advantage of Gemini Spark, a personal artificial intelligence agent from Google, to carry out multi-step tasks, such as research and planning.
The Gemini application can connect to Google services, such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Calendar, allowing the user to search for information within emails, summarize documents, and access his data across various Google services from one place.
