The Qatar Economic Forum, in cooperation with Bloomberg, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, today announced the appointment of His Excellency Hassan bin Abdullah Al Thawadi, Managing Director of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, and Kevin Sheekey, Global Head of External Relations at Bloomberg LP, as co-chairs of the Forum’s Global Advisory Board.
The Forum also announced the new members who joined the Council for the year 2026-2027 and represent a constellation of global business and political leaders.
In this context, His Excellency Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Thawadi said: “I look forward to working with the members of the Advisory Council to contribute together to continuously strengthening the position of the Qatar Economic Forum. Since its inception, the Forum has developed year after year to become one of the most prominent global economic summits, and our role in the Council will be to ensure that this development continues at a rapid pace, in accordance with the ambitions of the State of Qatar and the needs and requirements of the participants in the Forum.”
For her part, Karen Salzer, Chief Media Officer at Bloomberg, said: The appointment of His Excellency Mr. Hassan Al-Thawadi and Mr. Kevin Sheekey as co-chairs of the Advisory Board of the Qatar Economic Forum constitutes an important addition to the forum, as they will join an elite group of leaders with extensive experience in global markets, policies and investments.
