The State of Qatar participates in the 126th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries

The State of Qatar participated in the 126th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held today in the capital, Manama, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The State of Qatar’s delegation to the meeting was headed by His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance.

The meeting reviewed the results of the meetings of the GCC Central Bank Governors Committee, the GCC Customs Union Authority, the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Administrations in the GCC States, as well as the Joint Gulf Market Committee.

The General Secretariat’s report was also reviewed on the measures taken in light of the current conditions and the most prominent regional and international economic developments, in addition to discussing the mechanism for implementing decisions related to measures to combat harmful practices in international trade.

The meeting also discussed the progress of negotiations on free trade agreements between the GCC countries and other international countries and groups, and following up on developments in achieving economic unity among the GCC countries.
