Jassim Shaheen Al Sulaiti (Secretary General of the Qatar Archery and Archery Federation) was elected Vice President of the Arab Archery Federation for the new session 2024-2028. This came during the general assembly meeting to elect the new executive office of the Arab Bow and Arrow Federation, which was held in Iraq on the sidelines of the Arab Bow and Arrow Championship activities.
The assembly also witnessed the re-election of Saudi Ibrahim Al-Dosari as president of the federation, and Saad Al-Mashhadani as secretary-general of the federation, while Sudanese Ahmed Tariq was elected as first vice-president, Emirati Hamid Al-Musharkh as vice-president, and Egyptian Reham Sweilem as vice-president.
Membership in the union was won by Saad Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, who was later chosen as Secretary-General, along with Dr. Maan Barakat, President of the Palestinian Union, the Jordanian Karim Al-Badiri, the Syrian Ziad Saboura, and the Yemeni Ahmed Al-Siyaghi.
Al-Sulaiti expressed his happiness with the victory. Pointing out that this confidence granted to him by the members of the General Assembly today is an acknowledgment of the good reputation enjoyed by the Qatari administrative competencies in the various regional, continental and international structures for the sport of shooting, bow and arrow, and also in various other games.
Al-Sulaiti said after the victory that his appointment to the Arab position came thanks to the unlimited support of the Qatar Olympic Committee, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, for the sport of shooting, stressing at the same time that the presence of Qatari competencies is evidence of the development of Qatari shooting.
Al-Sulaiti pointed out that one of the most important factors in winning this position is the important reputation that Qatari sports enjoys on a continental and international level through its successful hosting of the most prominent tournaments.
At the conclusion of his speech, Al-Sulaiti confirmed that he will work in the new board of directors of the Arab Federation to develop and advance the sport of bow and arrow. Hoping to have good expectations in this new position.
