The General Authority of Civil Aviation has announced the hosting of the ICAO Conference for Air Transport Facilities, under the title “Facilitating the Future of Air Transport: Cooperation, Efficiency, and Comprehensiveness”, with a focus on the importance of “simplifying travel and linking societies”, which will be held during the period from 14 to 17 April 2025.
This international event will bring together many countries, stakeholders, and air transport experts from all over the world, with the aim of exploring the latest developments in the field of facilitating air transport, and seeking to enhance cooperation between everyone to develop a global facilitation strategy that guarantees adaptation and response to rapid variables in the field of civil aviation.
The conference will address a group of important axes and dialogue sessions related to the role of air transport facilities in supporting the growth of the aviation industry, and exploring innovative methods that contribute to achieving more sustainable development in the civil aviation sector.
Moreover, the conference is scheduled to conclude with the issuance of a ministerial declaration on facilities in the field of civil aviation, with the aim of enhancing air transport services to ensure the provision of reliable and smooth flight services for all, and directing public policies in vital matters related to facilities, which contributes to achieving the goal of the strategic ICAO organization linked to security and facilities.
The conference will also be accompanied by a special exhibition to present the achievements of the countries and the participating entities and their efforts in the field of air transport facilities, as well as displaying equipment and systems that contribute to improving the experience of travelers.
It is worth noting that the State of Qatar won the chairmanship of the Air Transport Committee of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) during the month of June, and the representatives of the member states of the organization’s council, Mr. Issa Abdullah Al -Maliki, the permanent representative of the State of Qatar to the ICAO organization, was elected president of the committee, during the meeting of the organization’s council that was held at its headquarters in the Canadian city of Montreal.
