The organizing committee for the 43rd edition of the Arab Club Championship for Men, scheduled to be held in Doha from January 16 to 26, decided to hold the championship matches in the Qatar Club and Al Arabi Club halls with the participation of an elite group of distinguished Arab clubs. Participating delegations are expected to arrive starting today to participate in the major event. The police team had entered a closed camp in preparation for the tournament and played a friendly match with the Qatari King yesterday at the Qatar Hall.

Khalifa Salem Al-Hamad, Head of the Police Volleyball Service, confirmed that the tournament aims to enhance the spirit of sports competition among Arab clubs, develop the level of the game in the region, in addition to highlighting the sporting capabilities that the State of Qatar enjoys in organizing major events.
He added that the tournament is expected to be full of excitement and strong matches, especially with the participation of clubs with a proven track record in regional and international tournaments. He pointed out that “Al-Shorta” will compete strongly, with great ambition to win the title, in light of the intense Arab competition, especially with the participation of large clubs, which gives the event special importance and enhances the level of challenge among all teams.
He expressed the police’s readiness for the tournament, which is being held under the auspices and organization of the Qatar Volleyball Federation, headed by Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari, stressing the keenness to present a distinctive version of the tournament, both in terms of organization and by providing the best facilities and services to the participating teams and fans.
He also stressed that this tournament is a distinctive addition to the series of major sporting events hosted by Qatar, which highlights its status as a global sporting destination.
The tournament hopes to be a distinguished sporting celebration that will attract the interest of volleyball fans in the region and beyond.
The organizing committee announced the tournament schedule, which will start the first matches on Thursday, the 16th of this month, with matches between Al-Salam Al-Omani and Baniyas of the Emirates at the Qatar Hall, Al-Jazeera of the Emirates with Burgan of Kuwait in the Qatar Hall, and Gaza of Palestine against King Al-Qatrawi in the Qatar Hall.
