The twentieth conference of the Commercial Registration Forum for the year 2024, hosted by the Qatar Financial Centre, kicked off in Doha. This is the first time that this prominent event has been held in Qatar, in the presence of distinguished figures representing more than 50 member states of the forum, partner organizations, and a number of business leaders and elites. Experts and specialists in this industry from around the world.
The opening session of the conference included speeches by several personalities, including Ms. Louise Smith, Chair of the Commercial Registration Forum and CEO of the Commercial Registration Department in the United Kingdom, Mr. Yousef Mohammed Al-Jaidah, CEO of the Qatar Financial Center, and Mr. Nasser Al-Taweel, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of the Qatar Financial Center. .
The sessions on the first day of the conference addressed important topics, including cooperation between commercial registries across borders and the cancellation of companies without liquidation, in addition to regulating the activities of corporate service providers and reducing registration fees.

It is worth noting that the conference extends over the next three days and will include discussion sessions focused on important topics for commercial registries, including the resettlement of companies, the importance of oversight and implementation, the application of deterrent and effective sanctions systems, and stock coding.
