The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is intensifying its efforts in the field of spreading the culture of sports and enhancing community participation in sports and physical activities, especially among children, through initiatives in organizing sports events, including the Muay Thai training program that was launched at the beginning of this year as part of the 2026 calendar.

Training is held in sports clubs and youth centers, to teach self-defense skills, develop the capabilities of young people, and promote healthy lifestyles in society, through events and activities that encourage continuous exercise. The Muay Thai program specializes in the age group from 7 to 14 years, within a vision that aims to invest the energies of this age group in sports activities that enhance character building.

The Muay Thai training program includes many sports clubs, youth centers, educational institutions, and people with special needs. The Autism Families platform witnessed the latest round yesterday evening, Monday, of Muay Thai training, which lasted one hour between four in the afternoon and five in the evening, and another round of training was held at the Al Dhakhira Youth Center between five and six in the evening on Monday. The training sessions are conducted, under the supervision of an elite group of trainers specialized in modern combat sports, and include special training to acquire defense skills. Self, raising the level of physical and mental fitness, and instilling the principles of discipline and self-confidence.

The coming period will witness sports clubs and youth centers joining the Muay Thai training program. In this regard, Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, confirmed that the current round of the program is considered an extension of the successes achieved by the program in previous editions, and that the demand for Muay Thai training, and the positive interaction from families, reflects the success of the initiative in achieving its educational and sports goals, within the plan aimed at expanding the base of sports practice, and opening the way for children and young people to have a new and useful experience.
The Executive Director of Sports for All said that what has been achieved constitutes an incentive for us to expand the scope of Muay Thai training, as a new round will begin at Al Sadd Sports Club next week, on Sunday and Wednesday from three to four in the afternoon. Next July will also witness the hosting of various new entities for Muay Thai training, including sports clubs, youth centers, and specialized platforms for people with special needs. Al-Dosari added, “We are keen to provide an integrated sports experience, to learn the basic skills of self-defense, raise the level of physical fitness, and enhance the self-abilities of children.” And juniors.
