The organizing committee of the Emir Cup Football Championship for the season (2025-2026) announced the completion of preparations for the final match that will bring together Al Gharafa and Al Sadd next Saturday at Khalifa International Stadium.

The organizing committee confirmed, during a press conference held today, that all arrangements related to the final have been prepared in the best possible way, whether at the level of organizational, logistical or media aspects.

Engineer Abdulaziz Fakhro, Director of the Transportation Department of the Organizing Committee, said, “Khalifa International Stadium is now fully prepared to host the final match of the Emir’s Cup in its 59th edition,” noting that the final coincides with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the historic stadium, which hosted many of the most prominent international, continental, and regional sporting events.

He stated that the stadium’s doors will be opened to the fans starting at two-thirty in the afternoon on the day of the final match, with all necessary services provided, including chapels and various service areas, calling on fans to come early to avoid crowding and ensure easy entry to the stands.

He stressed the importance of using public transportation, especially the Doha Metro, explaining that the Sports City station on the Gold Line is the fastest way to reach the stadium.

He also revealed the organizing committee’s keenness to provide all means of access to the stadium, whether via metro, taxis, public buses or private cars, praising the great role played by volunteers in the success of various sporting events in Qatar.

At the same time, the Director of the Transportation and Transportation Department of the Organizing Committee pointed out that the committee allocated various parking lots for the fans, in addition to special parking spots for the media, which are the same ones that were used during the Arab Cup, Asian Cup, and World Cup 2022 tournaments, stressing that coordination was complete with the General Administration of Public Security, the General Administration of Traffic, and the Public Works Authority “Ashghal.”

He praised the great organizational experience that Qatar gained from hosting major tournaments before and after the 2022 World Cup, which contributed significantly to the development of organizing mechanisms and the ease of managing crowd movement.

In turn, Mr. Ali Al-Salat, Director of Media and Communications at the Qatar Football Association, confirmed the completion of the organizational and media readiness for the final match, noting that the work teams of the Qatar Football Association, the Qatar Stars League Foundation, and the Sports Events Organizing Committee are working collectively and in an integrated manner in order to achieve the maximum degree of success.

He highlighted that the Emir Cup final receives wide media attention from inside and outside Qatar, and the committee received more than 700 media requests to cover the final match, not only from Gulf countries, but also from European media institutions, pointing out that some media outlets affiliated with the national teams of the countries that will face the Qatari team in the 2026 World Cup have expressed a special interest in coming to Doha to cover the event.

He explained that the media accreditations for the final were made through the Haya portal and all media permits were approved, revealing that 75 material and in-kind prizes were allocated to the fans, including cars and cash and electronic prizes, within the framework of enhancing public attendance.

He stressed the increase in public demand for purchasing tickets, and the organizing committee has allocated tickets for people with special needs at reasonable prices, calling on the fans to attend in large numbers in order to contribute to the final exit in the best possible way.

It is worth noting that Al-Gharafa and Al-Sadd succeeded in qualifying for the final match after defeating Al-Wakrah and Al-Duhail in the semi-finals.

Al Gharafa won the title in the last edition after defeating Al Rayyan in the final by two goals to one, while Al Sadd is the most crowned champion in the tournament with 19 titles.
