His Excellency added: “As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the role of tourism as one of the main tributaries of economic diversification, we focus on developing qualitative, high-value tourism experiences that are based on the unique characteristics of the State of Qatar and contribute to achieving a sustainable economic impact. The Doha Jewelery and Watches Exhibition embodies this approach par excellence, as it contributes to strengthening Doha’s position on the map of specialized global events, and at the same time provides a vital platform for Qatari designers and entrepreneurs to communicate with international markets, build new opportunities for growth and contribute to the development of creative industries in the State of Qatar.”
Diversity of participation and international presence
For his part, Engineer Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar, said: “The Doha Jewelery and Watches Exhibition continues its continuous development in terms of size, diversity of participation and international presence, thus strengthening its position as one of the most prominent events in the annual Qatar events calendar, and a prominent forum for the jewelry and watches sector at the regional and global levels. In addition to showcasing the finest jewelry and watch designs, the exhibition constitutes a strategic platform for international brands to meet Qatari designers and entrepreneurs, providing a unique opportunity to establish business partnerships, exchange experiences, and reach broader markets. By supporting these opportunities, QNB Group contributes to the growth of the private sector and promotes economic diversification, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. Over the course of an entire week, the 22nd edition brings together 49 exhibitors representing more than 500 brands from 30 countries, presenting a wide-ranging display of fine jewelry, exceptional watches, and contemporary designs. International and local participation
International and local participation is further evident through the return of the Turkish Pavilion, the Indian Pavilion, and the Qatari Designers Pavilion. The Turkish pavilion includes two brands, while the Indian pavilion brings together five brands, each showcasing the distinct craftsmanship and design traditions specific to their markets.
The Qatari Designers Pavilion sponsored by Scale 7 places local creativity at the heart of the exhibition, and as a business incubator specializing in the creative and cultural industries established by Qatar Development Bank, Scale 7 supports startups and entrepreneurs through programs, investments and services that promote innovation and growth. The exhibition also expands its regional representation, with four exhibitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries participating for the first time in the exhibition, namely: Al Mahmoud Pearls from (the Kingdom of Bahrain), Al Baqshi Jewelery from (the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Ammar Jewelery from (the United Arab Emirates), in addition to Zari Jewelry from (the State of Qatar).
