The third round of the Qatar Motorcycle Super Stock and Touring Car Championships, organized by the Losail Circuit Sports Club under the supervision of the Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, begins today at the Losail International Circuit.
Today witnesses the registration of riders and drivers participating in the tour, as well as the verification and technical inspection of motorcycles and cars participating in the tour’s competitions, in addition to two technical meetings for the contestants, during which they are informed of all the laws during the race, as well as security and safety controls.
The actual competitions for the round begin today. In the motorcycle championship, the competitions begin at 3:30 pm with free trials for the 300 cc category, with qualifying trials for the same category being held. The first main race will be held at 11:20 pm, consisting of 8 laps, and the second race will be held for this category. The next category tomorrow at 6:50 pm also has 8 laps.
As for the 600 cc category competitions, the first free trials will be held at 6 p.m., followed by the second free trials at 8:55 p.m., also lasting 45 minutes, then the first qualifying trials at 10:25 p.m., lasting 15 minutes, followed by the second qualifying trials. At 10:50 p.m. for 15 minutes as well.
Al Qubaisi leads the overall standings of the tournament before the start of the third round with 75 points, 19 points ahead of Al Nuaimi, who is in second place with 56 points, while Al Sulaiti ranks third with 52 points, and Riyad Al Emadi is fourth with 35 points, while Jassim Al Thani completes the list of five places. First with 32 points.
In the Trophy category competitions, Alexandre Qabazard leads the overall standings with 65 points, 15 points ahead of Frenchman Alexien Macari, who is in second place with 50 points, while Kuwaitis Mustafa Hussein and Ali Bushahri come in third and fourth place with 42 points and 41 points, respectively. Italian Manuel Parra is in the top five with 33 points.
As for the 300 cc category competitions, Hungarian Marton Bellelli topped the overall standings with 53 points, only 3 points behind Indian Dave Rakshith, champion of the second round, who finished second with 50 points, while Egyptian Mahmoud Al-Banna came third with 45 points, while Britain’s Aaron Robinson and Italian Edward Villa ranked fourth and fifth with 44 points and 41 points, respectively.
