The Ministry of Communications confirmed that the recently announced marine survey project includes 5 stages, and aims to update navigational maps and regulate traffic traffic through the corridors.

Al -Kuwari added during a meeting with Qatar TV that the project aims to update the navigation of the state’s navigation maps, and to establish a marine traffic division system to regulate the entry and exit of ships through the specified marine corridors, according to the specifications and requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Maritime Survey Organization (IHO), Likewise, fulfilling the requirements stipulated in the International Convention on the Safety of Spirits in the Seas «SOLAS).
And on the basic stages of implementing the marine survey project, Al -Kuwari said that it is to identify areas to throw the kidnapper in the country, determine the places of the wreckage of the ships in the Qatari water and put appropriate navigation marks for them, and modernize the Qatari marine maps, in addition to proposing areas of marine media detention, and providing a special system for navigational marks, In addition to creating a follow -up program for the state of navigational marks, in which it will use environmentally friendly techniques from batteries and solar panels to raise the level of lighting capacity and presence in the sites, as well as setting navigational marks for the places of reserves in the country, and identifying the additional measurements that the navigational signs must be picked up to meet the work requirements to ensure navigation safety Naval is like a vision.
The Ministry of Communications stated through its official website that the importance of this project lies in enhancing the safety and protection of navigation and the marine environment, in line with economic growth and development requirements that the state pursues, and during the operations of implementing its stages will be employed the latest environmentally friendly technologies for monitoring systems and navigation signs, to meet the goals of the third national development strategy.
