The value of the financial operations that took place across the “immediate” system launched by the Qatar Central Bank reached 10.1 billion Qatari riyals since March 2024 through the implementation of 5.5 million financial operations.
Indicators published by Qatar Central Bank through the “X” platform showed a growth in the value of the operations with an average of 28 percent, while the number of operations increased by an average of 31 percent. The number of registered individuals’ accounts reached 2.7 million accounts and the number of corporate accounts is 99 thousand.
The Qatar Central Bank said: “The system has proven its efficiency in facilitating and improving payment operations in terms of reducing the time required to make financial transfers between individuals and companies in Qatar, as it allowed users to send and receive money in an instant and safe way, and he also recorded a set of numbers and indicators that reflect the success of the system.”
The immediate payment service (immediately) is one of the innovative and advanced services in line with the third strategy of the financial sector, which comes within the framework of the completion of the Qatar Central Bank of its efforts to develop infrastructure for payments systems and keep pace with the latest developments in the field of electronic payment and transfer systems of funds.
