Qatar Chamber participated in the activities of the World Social Responsibility Day, which was held in the Bahraini capital, Manama, in conjunction with the 2026 International Permanent Economy Forum, which was organized by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility in partnership with the Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Union of Arab Chambers.
The Qatar Chamber was honored in recognition of its role and efforts in the field of corporate social responsibility and promoting sustainability practices, during the ceremony honoring the winners of the Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the Arab Countries for the year 2026 – the fourth edition, which was held within the activities of World Social Responsibility Day.
Mr. Hussein Al Abdulghani, Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department at the Qatar Chamber, confirmed that this honor reflects the Qatar Chamber’s interest and keenness to enhance the culture of social responsibility and consolidate the principles of sustainability in the business sector, noting that social responsibility represents one of the important foundations of the role of private sector institutions in supporting development and community service.
He said that the Qatar Chamber pays great attention to encouraging companies and business institutions to adopt responsible initiatives and practices that contribute to achieving sustainable development, noting that this honor represents an incentive to continue efforts and enhance the role of the private sector in implementing community initiatives that achieve a positive and sustainable impact.
This honor comes in appreciation of the role played by the Qatar Chamber in supporting and promoting social responsibility initiatives, and its keenness to consolidate the concepts of sustainability and encourage private sector institutions to adopt initiatives and practices that contribute to serving society and supporting sustainable development.
