Qatar Stock Exchange Index Loses 18 Points at Start of Trading

The Qatar Stock Exchange index lost 0.18 percent at the beginning of today’s trading, losing 18.05 points, and thus falling to 10,159 points, compared to last Thursday’s closing, under pressure from three sectors.
Qatar Stock Exchange figures showed at the beginning of trading an increase in the performance of the real estate and communications sectors by 0.16 percent, and the insurance sector by 0.10 percent, while the performance of the consumer goods and services sector stabilized at 0.00 percent. In contrast, the performance of the banking and financial services sector was negative by 0.05 percent, the transportation sector by 0.17 percent, and the industrial sector by 0.26 percent.
At 10:00 am, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trading worth 56.315 million riyals, distributed over 38.993 million shares and executed in 2,399 transactions.
