In a few hours, the 2024 Summer Olympics will kick off in Paris, with the active participation of a group of the world’s most prominent athletes. Some competitions have already started, most notably football, but the rest of the competitions will begin after the opening ceremony, which will be held today on the banks of the Seine River, in a ceremony that will take place for the first time in Olympic history, after the Olympic opening ceremony was usually held inside stadiums. As part of the Qatari security forces’ participation in securing the Paris 2024 Olympics, a delegation headed by Brigadier General Nawaf Majid Al Ali, Commander of the Qatari Security Forces, met with Lieutenant General Xavier Dusbet, Commander of the Gendarmerie in the Ile-de-France region in Paris.
